My name is Clark Kegley—recovering perfectionist, entrepreneur, YouTuber, and, above all, a believer in the power of reinvention. My journey has taken me from the drum kit to the coaching chair, from feeling stuck to building a life I once only dreamed about.

If you’re looking for someone who’s been through the wringer, face-planted into rock bottom, and came out the other side with a YouTube Gold Play Button and a passport full of stamps—You’ve come to the right place.

Like many, I started out following the script: go to school, get a job, try to make it all work. But after losing my job and staring down more debt than I care to admit, I realized something had to change. That “something” turned out to be me. I became obsessed with identity development—figuring out how to shift the inner story that shapes our lives.

I started sharing what I was learning on YouTube, and to my surprise, people resonated with it. Over the years, my channel, Refusing to Settle, has grown to over a million subscribers and sparked a global conversation about personal growth, journaling, and the real work of transformation.

Some highlights from my journey:

These days, my main mission is to create content that helps you become your 2.0 self. Through my YouTube channel, podcast, and other platforms, I share practical tools, mindset shifts, and timeless ideas to help you break free from whatever’s keeping you stuck and step into a more empowered version of yourself.

Whether it’s book breakdowns, deep dives into identity shifting, or sharing the lessons I’ve learned on my own journey, my goal is to make personal growth approachable—and actually useful—in your everyday life. I’m not here to hand out quick fixes or hype; I’m here to give you strategies that work in the real world, delivered with a bit of honesty and the occasional well-timed joke.

I believe anyone can reinvent themselves if they’re willing to do the work. Change doesn’t start with willpower or motivation—it starts with identity. When you shift who you believe you are, everything else follows.

If you’re ready to start building your 2.0, you’ll find everything you need in the videos, journal entries, and newsletters I put out each week.
